Mark DeVol Signs Tenth Amendment Pledge
Andersonville, TN - December 7, 2009 - U.S. Congressional District 3 candidate, Mark DeVol recently signed the Tenth Amendment Pledge. The Tenth Amendment Center, a grassroots movement seeks to preserve and protect the Tenth Amendment freedoms through information and education. The center serves as a forum for the study and exploration of State and Individual sovereignty issues, focusing primarily on the decentralization of federal government power.
By signing the
Tenth Amendment Pledge, congressional candidates pledge that, if elected, they will do their duty to uphold the principles of States Rights, State Sovereignty, the Limited Role of the Federal Government, and to interpret the General Welfare clause as a limitation on the powers of Congress that restricts regulation and spending to one of the specifically enumerated powers.
As one of the first congressional candidates in Tennessee, and the first congressional candidate in the 3rd District to sign the Tenth Amendment Pledge, Mark DeVol has indicated his commitment to preserve liberty, capitalism, and the great republic established by our founding fathers.
